                  amazing palette

This palette has the most vibrant colors. The colors are made from pressed pigment and also contain talc. Having talc as an ingredient will make me believe it’s smooth and loose.

Beautiful, but must be used a certain way.

                  1) **Use a primer**
I HIGHLY recommend Milani's eyeshadow primer in the little gray tube. It has a 'tackiness' to it in that it literally locks down AND amplifies the colors of the eyeshadow. It's my holy grail primer.

                  2) Adjust your application method. Normally, eyeshadow is layered from light to dark. Not so with this palette. Don't even think about layering these colors OR using standard circular or "windshield wiper" motions to blend the colors. They'll simply blend away into nothing, as if you didn't even place anything down....believe me, I've tried. Instead work from darkest to lightest, packing the colors on right next to each other using small dense eyeshadow brushes (I highly recommend E.L.F.'s clear handled pencil brush) and then *lightly* blending the edges of the colors with a fluffy blending brush. For a better visual of how this is done, view Youtubers Tammi Clarke (start at the 3:00 minute mark) and Makemeupmissa's (start at the 6:04 minute mark) videos below. They exclusively do bold colorful looks and know what they're doing. When I followed their steps, my eyeshadow came out beautiful, vibrant and seamlessly blended.

                  3) The shimmers are sparkly, but they're also VERY flakey and not opaque like you would think. Use a setting spray, or a mixing medium and a stiff flat brush to apply them. Expect fallout from the mattes and the shimmers.

                  Love this palette!

The colors are so vibrant and go on beautifully, even the mattes.
